Standing on the old Kauri dam site no 5, few people get to visit
Want to spend a nice day in the bush
It is very apparent that the fate of the Tangihua ranges depend on putting in place conservation strategies which will reduce or stop the damage inflicted by introduced pests
A great sense of satisfaction is gained from working on conservation projects. Taking action to protect our native bush is not only rewarding, you get to spend the day in a beautiful place.
It is the time spent in the bush which is the most enjoyable part
We all intend to spend more time getting away into the bush, but it never seems to happen. It is the one day or must do it soon occasion. Once you do get you there it is I should do this more often.
A text or an email about an up and coming day in the bush is often the incentive required to take time out for your self.
We tend to make this a social occasion as well. You will get to meet a number of people at the lodge, share a beer or two and yarn at the end of the day.
What skills do we require?
Eveyone has something to offer. This is a wide ranging project with a wide range of options

Feel free to pop up to the lodge and have a look around
The lodge entrance is at 1095 Omana road. There are many good walking tracks. Have a listen and a look for birds.
